Conference table in English oak
Commissioned for a company in east London. The company building is an immense Victorian railway arch with barrel vaulted ceilings and the recent internal addition of a two-storey glass and steel structure housing the conference room. I designed eight separate tables that could stand alone or slot together side by side and end to end to form one or more tables of different sizes, allowing for flexible layouts. We used pippy oak, sometimes known as ‘cats paw’. The joints along the waney live/edge were filled with a ebony tinted clear resin giving a tactile and visual interest.
Dimensions:
Eight tables of 160cm L x 80cm W x 76cm H
